Natalia Valkovskaya, Partner in Tax & Legal department at KPMG in Russia & CIS
Natalia holds a degree in Finance & Credit from the Financial Academy under the Government of the Russian Federation. She joined KPMG in Moscow in 2006 and specializes in international taxation and transfer pricing. Natalia has more than eight years of experience in tax advisory. Natalia has developed and currently is the head of transfer pricing group in KPMG Russia & CIS. Natalia advised clients on development of process for transfer pricing compliance in multiple jurisdictions, full-scope preparation to enactment of new Russian transfer pricing rules, negotiation of advance pricing agreements with the Russian tax authorities. Natalia’s clients include Russian and multinational companies operating in different industries, including Oil & Gas, Ferrous and Non-Ferrous Metals, Consumer and Industrial Markets.
Svetlana Skripnik, Partner in Tax & Legal department at KPMG in Russia & CIS
Svetlana holds a master’s degree from the Moscow State University of International Relations (MGIMO). She joined KPMG in Moscow in 2002. Svetlana has more than ten years of experience in taxation, and her clients include Russian and multinational companies in various industries. Having specialized in tax consulting for the Real Estate, Construction and Infrastructure sectors over the last six years, Svetlana now heads the respective industry team in Tax Department. She has also extensive experience in providing tax support in international taxation, restructuring and M&A deals.
Daniel Strishewsky, Partner in Strategy Group in the Advisory department at KPMG in Russia & CIS
Daniel has over ten years’ experience in mergers and acquisitions in mature and emerging markets; over the last six years he has focused on Russia and the CIS. Daniel holds a masters degree in finance and economics from the Heinrich Heine University in Germany and is currently doing an Executive MBA programme at the Skolkovo Business School. At KPMG Daniel leads the Deal Strategy Practice, where he helps clients to make strategic investment decisions. Russian and multinational corporations as well as private equity players work with Daniel and his team to develop investment strategies, identify and assess acquisition targets or prepare business for an IPO or sale. Once transaction has been executed, Daniel assists with post-merger integration.
Andrey Danilov, Partner in Tax & Legal Department at KPMG in Russia & CIS
Andrey advises clients on a variety of domestic and cross-border transactions, focusing primarily on mergers and acquisitions, as well as on corporate finance transactions, including public and private placements of equity and debt securities, bank financing, and strategic partnering and investments. Mr. Danilov also counsels clients on general Russian corporate, securities and subsoil legislation issues. Andrey graduated from the international law faculty at the Moscow State Institute for International Relations (MGIMO) in 1997. In 1999 and 2001 he worked in London and Frankfurt advising companies from all over the world, including major transatlantic corporations and international banks, on corporate finance transactions. From 2008, Andrey worked at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where he became a partner in 2008, focusing on M&A, oil & gas, corporate finance, securities transactions and general corporate work.
Evgeny Makhotin, Partner in the Advisory Department at KPMG in Russia & CIS
Since 2008 he has been working for KPMG in Advisory, where he specializes in business restructuring and management consulting. Evgeny graduated from the Moscow State University for Foreign Affairs (MGIMO) and holds a master’s degree in International Economics from Newton College, Boston, USA. He started his career in 1994 in the Banking Audit department at Deloitte.In 1995 he worked at Price Waterhouse Coopers as a Senior Corporate Finance Consultant. From 1998 to 2008 Evgeny developed his career at Vnesheconombank as Deputy Director of State Financial Assets.
