KPMG's Urals Regional Center held the official opening of a full-time tax practice.
The Urals is a major center of the Russian economy. The region’s aggressive development drives the demand from local enterprises for professional services of international quality. Given the amendments to Russian tax legislation concerning primarily transfer pricing, international tax structuring and tax planning issues, companies from the Urals region are increasingly willing to engage tax and legal consultants in their work. This is the reason why KPMG decided to open a full-time tax practice in Ekaterinburg. The practice will on the one hand enable the firm to work more effectively with its existing clients, and on the other hand to meet the growing demand for the provision of tax and legal services of international quality in the region.
The tax practice in the Urals Regional Center will be run by Konstantin Yurchenko, Partner, Tax & Legal. He commented: “Russia is constantly introducing improvements to the tax system, with the fairly rapid adoption of amendments and necessary adjustments. We hope that our clients in Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk, Tyumen and Orenburg Oblasts, Perm Krai, Bashkortostan and Udmurtia will value their effective interaction on tax issues with our consultants.”
