In September 2019 the Federal Tax Service of Russia (hereinafter, the “FTS”) launched a new online service on its official website (, which enables individuals to pay their Russian taxes and any other charges by international payment cards issued by foreign banks.

Though the service is currently offered in test mode, payments can already be made. The service is available in Russian and English. Taxes must be paid in Russian rubles.

The new service substantially simplifies the tax, penalty and fine payment procedures for those individuals who have left Russia and are not able to make payments using their Russian bank account.
