The Oil & Gas sector is the largest greenhouse gases emitter, and hence it will definitely be affected by the regulations and requirements concerning emission reductions and relevant reporting, which are currently being discussed at federal and international levels. Many goals in this area are based on assessing and minimising the so-called carbon footprint, which is the total amount of greenhouse gas emissions and absorption occurring during the entire life cycle of a product or service.
