Evgenia has been working with KPMG in Moscow since 1999. She is responsible for providing tax advice both to Russian and multinational companies operating in different industries. In the last 3 years one of Evgenia’s primary areas of specialization has been advising clients in the Information, Communication, and Entertainment sector. Evgenia’s main areas of expertise are as follows: advice on tax legislation and currency regulations, corporate restructuring of large groups, including the reorganization of legal holding structures, the structuring of financing, investment and other operations to optimize the overall tax burden, improvements in transparency and overall attractiveness for potential investors and the analysis of the tax aspects of management structures (e.g. for a private placement or IPO), advising on the tax aspects of foreign investment in Russia. She also specializes in: tax reviews of Russian and foreign companies within the framework of IFRS and Russian GAAP audits, structuring acquisitions, joint ventures and other transactions in coordination with legal advisers involving the development of tax efficient mechanisms and vehicles to invest in, finance, operate, distribute profit from and reinvest in real estate (including cash trap issues) as well as exit strategies, reviews of relevant transactional documentation etc.
