Andrey is Head of Dispute Resolution. He has more than 15 years of experience providing tax services, and prior to joining KPMG in 2016, he worked for another Big-4 company. In his professional work experience he has been engaged in projects providing a wide range of tax services, including tax dispute resolution for large Russian and international companies in the Consumer, Industrial, Oil & Gas and Financial sectors, as well as bringing different tax efficiency products to market. He has a vast amount of experience representing clients in the arbitration courts, including in the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation. 

Andrey has extensive experience providing the following services:

  • Dispute resolution services, including assisting companies in all stages of tax audits – from the beginning of the tax audit through to appeal stages. His work includes representing the interests of companies during tax control measures.
  • Assisting companies through court procedures.
  • Mediation procedures, including organising and conducting meetings and negotiations with the tax authorities in order to settle current tax disputes.
  • Identifying tax risks and preparing defence files.
  • Providing tax efficiency services.

Andrey is particularly is proud of:

  • Successfully resolving a tax dispute for a major pharmaceutical company using mediation procedures.
  • Developing new tax efficiency projects and then successfully implementing them in different industries, including achieving tax deductibility for service parts and facilities expenses, obtaining energy-efficiency tax incentives for different types of property, incentives on inventory losses, challenging cadastral values, and generally applying different tax incentives, etc.

Andrey actively participates in industry events (internal and external), making KPMG more visible on the market and representing different lines of KPMG services.
