This study has two main objectives:

• Interpret current behaviors in alternative funds in Luxembourg and predict where they are headed
• Provide qualitative insights based on numerical data 

We surveyed 62 General Partners (GPs) with a Luxembourg office that are managing various asset classes such as private equity, private debt, real estate and infrastructure.

We defined a methodology in order to collect, classify and process data using statistical analysis:

• A questionnaire of 40 closed-ended questions
• One-to-one interviews with directors/conducting officers from 62 GPs active in Luxembourg in order to collect statistical data

• The key findings of the survey are disclosed in this report on a no-name basis
• Infrastructure and multiple asset classes sectors and pension funds are analyzed in the Overall Market section but are intentionally excluded from the Private Equity and Real Estate sections
• Private Equity and Privat Debt sectors are analyzed together in the Private Equity section
