Abbas is a Fellow Chartered Accountant who has garnered over 21 years of experience, including in external advisory roles and corporate senior management positions.  He has been serving as a Partner for Advisory Services at KPMG since 2011. In February 2020, he was also appointed as KPMG Pakistan’s Risk Management and Ethics & Independence Partner.

During his nearly 20 years of association with KPMG, Abbas has served a variety of clients in the corporate and public sectors, including local and international donor organizations.  He has extensive experience of working with World Bank, Asian Development Bank, DFID, USAID, UNDP, Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation and other international organizations.

His professional experience encompasses assignments for accounting advisory (including IFRS Conversion Services for adoption of new IFRS standards), organizational restructuring and transforming business operations, business strategy alignment, business process reengineering (BPR), business process improvements (BPI) and process optimization, risk management, internal audit and compliance services.
