REGULATORY COMPLIANCE SUPERVISOR

 

Responsibilities

  • Performs Financial Statements Quality Control Review (FSQCR) by reviewing financial statements for compliance with relevant presentation and disclosure requirements, and related auditors’ report for compliance with relevant auditing standards.
  • Provides consultation and responds to technical queries primarily on regulatory requirements relevant to financial reporting and practice of audit, assurance and related services
  • Provides guidance to subordinates in handling their respective queries
  • Monitors developments on subject matters related to regulatory requirements relevant to financial reporting and practice of audit, assurance and related services
  • Identifies the specific changes that will be implemented and assesses the potential impact to existing policies, practices and procedures of the Firm in delivering the services, including any transition process needed
  • Conducts research or consults the Firm Regulatory Contact Partner, or with the regional or global contact if necessary
  • Serves as facilitator/trainer in the roll out of trainings on regulatory requirements relevant to financial reporting and practice of audit, assurance and related services
  • Develops training materials on regulatory requirements

 

Qualifications:

  • Graduate of BS Accountancy
  • Preferably a Certified Public Accountant but not mandatory
  • Has any or a combination of work experience (2 to 3 years) in the following areas:
    • Public audit with experience in auditing complex areas
    • Financial reporting and regulatory compliance
    • Technical advisory – e.g. Audit quality, audit support or audit risk management role
    • Role in financial reporting regulation within a regulatory body
    • Preparation of training content related to regulatory requirements relevant to financial reporting and practice of audit, assurance and related services
    • Preparation of internal and/or external formal communications and materials
    • Project management
  • Has strong knowledge of regulatory requirements relevant to financial reporting and practice of audit, assurance and related services including those issued by SEC, PSE, BSP, IC, CDA, PRC/BOA, PICPA, BIR, ERC & NEA
  • Knowledge of IFRS/PFRS, ISA/PSA
  • Proven technical competence – strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
