Field Notes, powered by KPMG, is a weekly news update on news nationally and globally from the agri-food sector.
Trade Me announced last week that it is working with local suppliers to sell fresh grocery boxes including organic meat, fruit, vegetables and baked goods. They are working with companies such as Hyper Meat, Paddock to Pantry, Celebration Box and Clarkes. Even social enterprise Eat My Lunch is involved, with the sales of the fresh groceries helping to keep their staff employed and operations running, with demand falling significantly for their ‘’buy one, give one’’ lunch scheme. Eat My Lunch is providing families with food during the Covid-19 pandemic, and states that demand for its services are growing every day.
