Andrew is a Director and leads KPMG’s Tax Dispute Prevention and Resolution (“TDPR”) practice. He has over 11 years’ experience in advising clients on complex and high value tax matters. Andrew’s focus is the prevention, management and resolution of tax disputes for his clients, which range from large corporates and multinationals to small to medium enterprises and individuals.
Andrew prides himself in being able to build trusted relationships with clients to assist them through the often daunting and stressful disputes process. He can quickly assess the clients’ situation, provide strategic thinking and compelling written and oral advocacy. Andrew has litigated tax matters before the New Zealand courts, and has been involved in tax litigation in most of the United Kingdom courts.

- Strategic management and advice on Inland Revenue risk reviews and audits;
- Voluntary disclosures;
- Binding rulings;
- Write-off requests;
- Dispute settlement / resolution of (informally, through the statutory disputes procedure or litigation);
- Tax advice, including avoidance opinions.
