Rachel is a partner specialising in risk management and internal audit services in Wellington for KPMG and has over twenty years of experience in these fields in Government, the wider public sector, financial services, corporates and professional services. Rachel is passionate about supporting clients to solve a problem and using strategic risk to drive performance improvement and action. Prior to joining KPMG, Rachel was the Group Manager Risk & Assurance for the Ministry of Health for three years, where she led the risk, internal audit, protective security functions for the Ministry, reporting to the Risk and Assurance Committee. Rachel also Chaired the Executive Leadership Risk Sub Committee to provide strategic risk advice to the Director General of Health and Executive Management. Prior to that, Rachel was a Director of Risk and Assurance Services responsible for a broad range of major international clients in the UK, US and Europe, leading on a range of co sourced and outsourced internal audit partnership services, risk, governance and compliance engagements.
In her spare time Rachel enjoys spending time with her family, she has two young children and a dog and enjoys running parkrun, marathons and trails both overseas and in our beautiful country to keep healthy and well.
