Dr. Gray has worked with central and local government, the private sector and civil society organisations to enhance organisational resilience in the face of the climate and sustainability crisis. Stef began his career in Europe, working with leading research organisations and the European Commission to analyse and address the impacts of climate change at national, regional and local scales. Returning to New Zealand in 2015, Stef worked for Parliamentary Commissioner for the Environment Dr Jan Wright to assess the risks posed by sea level rise around the coast of New Zealand. Stef joined KPMG in 2019, leading work on scenario-based climate related risk analysis for major clients in the critical infrastructure and the primary sectors. Stef has a PhD in climate impact modelling and scenario analysis from University College Cork in Ireland, an MSc in Sustainable Development and Natural Resources Management from Imperial College London, and has authored books and articles on the subject of climate modelling in stakeholder driven contexts.
