KPMG in New Zealand
Bruce has more than 20 years’ experience as a tax professional. He specialises in cross-border taxation issues, mergers and acquisitions, and advising technology companies and the financial services sector. Bruce brings a great mix of technical skills and commercial acumen. He is known for his focus on explaining complex tax issues to clients in a clear and straightforward manner. Having spent a number of years in industry, Bruce understands the importance of delivering client service excellence and strives to achieve this with all of his clients.
As co-head of KPMG’s Deal Advisory Tax practice, Bruce undertakes tax due diligence and advises on acquisition structuring for foreign entities. He also advises a number of New Zealand based technology companies that have expanded offshore, primarily into the United States.
Having spent the first seven years of his career with KPMG, including three years at KPMG Australia’s Melbourne office, Bruce’s career includes experience as a partner in a major New Zealand law firm and working for General Electric for 10 years in New Zealand and Asia-Pacific based in-house tax roles.
Outside of work, Bruce enjoys spending time with his family, travelling, playing squash and has a keen and active interest in New Zealand politics.
