KPMG-4-Startups: KPMG supports startups during these challenging and uncertain times
KPMG-4-Startups: support program for startups
The effects of COVID-19 are a disaster for small companies, so Dutch entrepreneurs are asking for support in managing the consequences of the virus.
In 2016 KPMG co-founded techhub TNW Spaces (formerly TQ) together with Google, ABN AMRO and Booking. Since the launch, KPMG has been working closely with TNW to support startups and scaleups in their growth. KPMG shares its knowledge, expertise and innovative solutions with TNW-based startups through matchmaking events, presentations and trainings. This collaboration has resulted in KPMG being well positioned in the Dutch startup community and various partnerships have emerged.
The impact of COVID-19 for startups
The effects of COVID-19 are a disaster for small companies, so Dutch entrepreneurs are asking for support in managing the consequences of the virus. Research by Techleap shows that half of the Dutch startups have already lost revenues, and about as many entrepreneurs expect to run into a cash shortage within three months. In these uncertain times, startups can use support with regard to the continuity of their business, financial performance management, risk management and tax issues; subjects on which we, as KPMG, can act.
KPMG decided to set up a program for the Dutch startups to support them in these times of crisis: KPMG-4-Startups. KPMG collaborates with its partners TNW and Techleap to support the Dutch startup community through online office hours, one-on-one sessions and webinars in which KPMG shares its knowledge and expertise around specific topics.
