From today, Marieke van Heteren (51) is Head of Technology at accountancy and consultancy firm KPMG. Over the past eight years, she has been responsible for digital services at ERP software company SAP in the Netherlands. In her new role at KPMG, she will head a team of around 500 employees helping customers transform digitally with strategy and implementation from Microsoft, SalesForce, ServiceNow, SAP, Coupa and cybersecurity technology. In her new role, Van Heteren will report to Edwin Herrie, member of the Board of Management and Head of Advisory at KPMG.
"Van Heteren began her career at Atos, where she performed various commercial, delivery and change management roles over the course of more than 17 years. In early 2011, she joined ASML as Director IT, before moving to SAP in the course of 2013, joining the software firm as Head of Delivery. In 2015, Van Heteren was appointed Head of Services, making her part of SAP’s Dutch management team. Before starting her career, she studied Business Administration at Maastricht University.
“Marieke has more than 20 years’ experience in the technology sector. She has achieved many successes in the fields of innovation, change management and customer relations. That experience will be extremely useful in an environment in which we help organisations to progress"", explains Edwin Herrie, partner and member of the Board of Management of KPMG in the Netherlands.

Van Heteren is married and has two daughters.
