Helen Stijnen

Helen was appointed KPMG Netherlands Head of Insurance in 2023. She has over 25 years of professional experience in the insurance sector. Before joining KPMG, Helen worked several years as account supervisor for the Dutch Central Bank (DNB) and before that she worked 15 years as an actuary for Dutch insurance companies. At KPMG she advises insurance companies on risk management, risk modelling, model validation, actuarial support and capital management, both from an advisory as an audit perspective.  

Helen is co-responsible for the Actuarial & Insurance Risk practice of KPMG in the Netherlands, a team of 60 professionals with mostly quantitative expertise who work for clients in the Financial Services industry. 
Furthermore, she is member of the Global actuarial network and of the Global Insurance Leadership team of KPMG.
