Roger van Boxtel has been a member of the Supervisory Board since 1 June 2021 and as of 1 December 2021 he is chairman. After studying Dutch Law at the University of Amsterdam, he started working for the VNG. He entered politics through his role as an organizational consultant. In the Kok II cabinet (1998-2002), for example, he was Minister for Urban and Integration Policy.

In 2002 Van Boxtel was appointed chairman of the board of health insurer Menzis and after a year as chairman of the Board of Directors. From 2011 to 2015, Van Boxtel was party leader of D66 and a member of the Senate. In 2015 he became president of the Dutch Railways. Van Boxtel left the NS in the autumn of 2020.

Van Boxtel is also chairman of the Supervisory Board of museum De Fundatie and of the board of the Amsterdam Sinfonietta string orchestra.
