Nneka is a Partner in the Financial Services Industry, Audit Division of KPMG Professional Services, Nigeria and has over 15 years of professional experience in financial statement audit and other audit related services.

Nneka has extensive experience in providing International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), audit and financial advisory services as well as due diligence. She has also been extensively involved in the conversion of financial statements to IFRS to meet international reporting requirements for several Nigerian banks. In these projects, Nneka advised on the resolution of complex IFRS accounting issues and reconciliation to Nigerian GAAP.

Nneka has facilitated several workshop/training for banks and other financial services institutions involving differences between IFRS and Nigerian GAAP. She has carried out an IFRS7 compliance review on a Nigerian bank in which she was specifically involved in the impact assessment and design phases of the project. She led the team that carried out a diagnostic review on one of the five Banks categorized by the CBN as being in a “grave situation”.

Nneka’s major expertise cover financial services industry and its sub-sectors including banking, pension, asset management and leasing. She has demonstrated her expertise in successfully executing various services engagements, providing value-adding results with industry leading practices.

Her illustrative experience include the following:

  • She has served as manager and auditor-in-charge in the financial statements audit of several key banking, other financial services clients and oil and gas industries.
  • Nneka was a team member on the Reporting Accountant project for Chartered Bank Plc & NAL Bank.
  • She acted as team lead that carried out a Reporting Accountant role for Afribank Nigeria Plc.
  • She also acted as team lead on the due diligence project on NEM Insurance Plc on behalf of Access Bank.
