Siew Monsy, KPMG in Malaysia Executive Director of People, Performance and Culture, spoke about the need for auditors to adapt to the changes of the Industry 4.0. She said that this does not only apply to the fresh graduates but also experienced auditors. “In order to thrive in this new era of Industry 4.0, we must be open to learn new things as well as to unlearn and relearn,” she said.
Meanwhile, Ng Yi Sze, who was the highest non-graduate student and the recipient of the ICAEW Plender Prize, Simon Morris Memorial Prize and Little Prize for Business Planning: Taxation, has attributed her success to the support of her friends and family. Currently working at KPMG as an auditor, she also stressed the importance of hard work, time management and self-discipline as factors which won her the prizes in the ICAEW examination.
