In an exclusive interview with Nan Yang Siang Pau, KPMG executive director for indirect tax practice Ng Sue Lynn told the newspaper that the implementation time for SST 2.0 is quite short, compared to the GST implementation time and it may pose some problems for SMEs.

“Unlike the big corporations, who have a lot of resources to understand how the SST work in this short span of time,  the SMEs may find it more difficult,” said Sue Lynn who added that the Customs department is trying to help smoothen the transition for businesses by having more talks and awareness campaigns.
