Guan Heng is currently a Partner in KPMG Malaysia’s Tax Practice and has over 20 years experience in the field of tax, advising clients mainly on direct tax matters and cross border transactions. He has also involved in Goods and Services implementation project. Guan Heng is a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants, Chartered Tax Institute of Malaysia, CPA Australia and an approved Tax Agent licensed by the Ministry of Finance.

Guan Heng has serviced a diversified portfolio of clients comprise of public listed and multinational companies from various industries including financial services, trading, investment holding, manufacturing, pharmaceutical, hotel, construction and property development.
In his many years with KPMG, Guan Heng has built vast technical knowledge and experience in tax consulting, tax planning and tax review works. He is well versed in the practical aspects of taxation practice in Malaysia and has good knowledge of international taxation principles. Guan Heng is also involved in assisting companies with tax dispute resolutions with the tax authority.
Some of his major tax assignments include advice on in-bound and out-bound investments, mergers and acquisitions, tax restructuring, tax incentives, tax issues pertaining to financial structure / product, Labuan tax regime, setting up of a retakaful business in Malaysia, merger of insurance companies, permanent establishment issues, and performing tax due diligence reviews on companies subject to acquisition, takeovers and mergers.
