Job Overview

This is a prominent and exciting opportunity to be at the heart of the delivery of services and software products for KPMG's Microsoft Business Solutions (MBS) as MBS seeks to expand and grow and deliver more services internationally.

The Director of Client Delivery Services provides technical leadership and takes delivery accountability for the technical services provided by the Malta Delivery Centre.  This includes delivery of client engagements, product engineering for KPMG MBS assets and managed services. 

Key Responsibilities

  • Define overall strategy and direction for the Delivery function, with a capability of over 300 professional services staff, taking into account KPMG MBS business plans and client demands as well as broader insights from industry leading practices.
  • Ensure successful delivery of client engagements or elements of client engagements delivered from Malta Delivery Centre
  • Ensure successful delivery of managed services engagements
  • Build out of a world class Product engineering function for creation and maintenance of KPMG Microsoft solutions
  • Provide technical leadership and industry leading practices on delivery of KPMG’s Microsoft solutions and creation and maintenance of custom products.
  • Deliver coaching to direct reports and people management to circa 300 staff located in the Malta Delivery Centre
  • Define key skills required across Delivery and implement agile and Devops methods and deeper technical expertise aligned to Microsoft product roadmap
  • Engage proactively with on-shore stakeholders, particularly in UK and Netherlands
  • Create an efficient supply management process and controls, connecting with sales leads and others to understand pipeline and demand signals
  • Engage with the KPMG Global Delivery Network to ensure Powered solutions are delivered and the centre operates to the Global Delivery Network (GDN) guidelines and performance parameters
  • Manage the overall budget and cost performance of the Delivery function
  • Provide commercial acumen to ensure profitability for services is optimised
  • Provide sign-off for complex, large scale or high risk engagements
  • Drive efficiency and continuous improvement , driving reusability, asset development, knowledge sharing
  • Build effective relations with other functions especially Solutioning, Business unit leadership, sales and country delivery functions
  • Support business development and sales opportunities.

Skills and Experience

  • 10+ years in a senior leadership role within organisations with a development capability of more than 100 staff.
  • A proven track record of client delivery responsibility in software development to external client base ideally using Microsoft technology.
  • Experience of building and managing software products
  • Demonstrable product engineering experience
  • Strong leadership and people development skills
  • Experience of working internationally
  • ·Strong commercial acumen
  • ·Good communication skills
  • Experience of working with senior stakeholders
