KPMG leads the French advisory-audit sector

With 1.191 billion euros in total revenue for the 2019-2020 fiscal year ended last September, KPMG France has surpassed its competitor EY France, according to the economic and financial daily Les Echos.

Having already clinched France's top spot in the accounting expertise market, KPMG is now also the industry-leading firm in the advisory-audit sector, thanks in part to its well-performing mergers and acquisitions activity (+ 7%), as well as a "tax and legal" activity achieving triple-digit growth (+ 250%) over the same period .

This success validates Jay Nirsimloo's strategy during the last couple of years, the Chairman of the Management Board due to be succeeded by Marie Guillemot this month of April.

The previous financial cycle (ended in September 2019) saw KPMG come on the heels of EY France with a total turnover of 1.14 billion euros against 1.16 billion euros.
