Andžs has more than 20 years of national and international experience in public finance and government affairs. His previous experience involves working as the Deputy State Secretary at the Ministry of Finance in matters related to foreign financial aid and fiscal policy, and for more than five years he was in charge of managing the funding for EU projects in Latvia. He has also worked at the European Investment Bank and the World Bank, advised the governments of Moldova, Ukraine and Kosovo on financial and economic matters, as well as on cooperation with the EU. Since 2015, Andžs has also been elected as a member of the Fiscal Discipline Council.
