KPMG is currently seeking an Assistant Manager / Manager Azure Cloud Engineer to internal function at KPMG Lighthouse. 

The Role

The role will have a co-responsibility of Azure cloud infrastructure that is the foundation for advanced analytics and artificial intelligence solutions, internally and for client engagements including but not limited to: contributing to the creation and maintenance of Azure based deployment, security, operational frameworks, standards, baselines, guidelines, and procedures as well as monitoring compliance of cloud service.

You will work closely with the team within the area of infrastructure development, deployment, support, cloud networking, security and peer cloud engineers and work to modernize our existing Azure environment.

Working on priority client’s initiatives on the Microsoft Azure Platform in collaboration with different specialist teams within Audit, Tax and Advisory/Management consulting, as well as with the sales and client.

Key Responsibilities

  • Leading respective project work with involvement in the design & implementations of cloud infrastructure solution
  • Designing and integrating Azure platforms in a manner which allows the management and provision of data in a secure and reliable manner
  • Create, maintain and monitor cloud infrastructure
  • Mentor more junior members with technical and KPMG specific ways of working
  • Delivering and presenting Proofs of Concept variants to prospective customers
  • Be active in the team and department activities with participation in and leading initiatives
  • Maintain and advance personal and team technical skills and knowledge, keeping up to date with market trends and competitive insights, and share within the technical community
  • Build and maintain comprehensive alerting and monitoring configuration to maintain awareness of, and expedite troubleshooting of infrastructure related issues in Azure environments
  • Ability to work in an Agile technical project team and procedures (e.g. Scrum)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues in development, test, and production environments
  • Be a Voice of Client to share insights and best practices with KPMG specialists in Audit, Tax and Advisory.

What are we looking for?

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • You have an academic education (Bachelor’s degree in Computer science, Information Systems or related field), and/or 4+ years of equivalent work experience in data related field.
  • 4+ years work experience in a relevant role e.g. System Administrator, Network Engineer, DevOps Engineer, Cloud Engineer
  • Good level of scripting experience, preferably PowerShell
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Azure cloud and their IaaS/PaaS offering
  • Experience in Development and implementation of IaC for Azure infrastructure build using ARM, Terraform, CLI and PowerShell
  • A good understanding of Azure DevOps, GIT, Pipeline & Linux OS
  • Good understanding of Azure AD, B2C, SSO, conditional policy, authentication protocol such as OpenID, SAML
  • Experience with Azure network service and security components such as firewall, vNET, load balancers, TLS encryption, SSL certificates, etc.
  • Experience with containers, specifically Azure Container Services (ACS) & Azure Kubernetes Services (AKS)
  • Good understanding with data technology such as SQL, Azure DWH, CosmosDB, Azure Databricks
  • Experience with various types of Azure storage accounts, Azure Backup and Azure Site Recovery

  • You demonstrate a positive approach towards problem solving under pressure, you are a self-motivated, emotionally intelligent and pro-active person, who demonstrates good communication skills, critical thinking, problem solving skills and eagerness to learn and grow.
  • You have sustained attention to detail and have ability to describe complex technical issues in a clear non-technical way
