Technical Cyber Security Specialist - Incident Manager

We at KPMG Cyber are undergoing a strong growth journey and are building a high delivery capacity in the cyber area and have high goals to support our customers in their digitization and efficiency journeys with security as a natural component.

Our customers in Incident Response are located both in Sweden and globally in several industries but with extra focus on leading industrial and technology companies, banking & finance but also government agencies and organizations. We have a security lab with fine tools for various methods of incident management that are used in customer assignments.

KPMG is now looking for technical specialists with a focus on penetration testers and incident managers to work with international KPMG Cyber Security network.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Solve assignments in various types of security audits and incident management
  • Describe the results in the form of report with recommendations
  • Present them to a small group of listeners from the customer
  • Support customers in connection with incidents until the situation is handled as a member of CSIRT Security Incident Response Team
  • Participate in customer assignments within Incident Response together with both Swedish and international Cyber Security colleagues as technical expert
  • Participate in customer meetings to support customer managers by clarifying how our service product supports the customer's security solutions

Education and experience

  • You have a technical education as a basic prerequisite, but we value your experiences in incident management and forensics highly
  • You have certifications that prove the competence, e.g.: OSCP, NIST and SANS or similar are meritorious
  • You have experience of incident management and competence in one or more of the following areas:
  • The incident management process NIST / SANS
    • IT Forensics, for example ISO 27037/27042
    • Threat Hunting and log analysis
    • Cyber Kill Chain and MITER ATT & CK framework
    • Reverse engineering, Malware analysis, Binary analysis
    • Network - Design & structure, communication & protocol, FW, IDS / IPS, Load balancer, Storage, etc.
    • Technical knowledge of Windows operating system and security architecture, powershell
    • Technical knowledge of Linux operating system and security architecture, bash / sh
    • Hardware, Operating Systems, Virtualization and Containers

Technical skills

  • It is a matter of course to write accurate reports and you are satisfied with presenting your results to both technicians and management.
  • You a good ability to express yourself in writing and verbally in English, knowledge of Swedish will be considered an advantage

Personal attributes

  • You are passionate about technology and security challenges
  • You know methodology in incident management and techniques in the field of cyber security
  • You are a person who wants to support mission planning, participate in technical customer dialogues
  • You are able to deliver either independently or as part of a delivery team with colleagues from KPMG Cyber Security network
