KPMG Risk Consulting specialists help organizations to better understand risks related to their operations, assess the risk management system and internal controls in place, and develop effective control systems and measures. We also help clients manage and independently assess financial risks, incl. credit and compliance risks in the area of use of funds, corporate governance, financial fraud investigations, anti-money laundering and countering terrorism and proliferation financing, sanctions compliance and other fields.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Work on compliance, fraud investigation, AML and other engagements related to various business risk
  • Collaborate with colleagues from Risk Consulting and other departments to provide deep information analysis and integrate findings into deliverables
  • Create presentations, participate in interviews, carry out research as well as write reports and participate in the preparation of proposals to clients
  • Develop expertise and knowledge of a variety of clients and markets, and awareness of KPMG’s services
  • Work with experienced colleagues, enthusiastic team members and collaborate with colleagues from the KPMG Global network

Education and experience

  • You have a university degree or are a final year student in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Legal or other relevant field
  • You have at least 1 year experience in AML and/or compliance, and you are interested in risk analysis and management or other areas related to business risks

Technical skills

  • You are able to delve into a large amount of information, carry out research and analysis, and write descriptive reports
  • You are a proficient IT user (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • You are fluent in Latvian, English and Russian, both written and verbal

Personal attributes

  • You are quick-learner, willing to learn new skills and acquire new capabilities, and are able to adapt changes and new challenges
  • You are enthusiastic about working in a project based environment and possess strong analytical skills
  • You pay attention to details and are able to work within tight deadlines in a demanding and competitive environment
  • You are a self-motivated, ambitious and pro-active person who demonstrates good communication and critical thinking skills, and is a “team player”
