We believe that business plays an important role in all aspects of sustainability – economic, environmental and social. We encourage our team to use their skills, experience and knowledge to lead and participate in a variety of initiatives that address key social and environmental issues.
The most important areas of corporate social responsibility at KPMG Latvia: well-being of our employees, education and environment.
We make sure that our most important asset, our employees, feel well, both physically and mentally. We also encourage our employees to take the initiative in solving social and environmental issues. KPMG's policy is that all employees have the opportunity to use three paid days a year for community service.
It is important for us to share our knowledge and thus contribute to society. Our team conducts lessons for Latvian students in the project ‘Dzīvei gatavs’ - a support for teachers and an aid to students in learning a variety of subjects in order to gain an understanding of the application of school-based knowledge and skills. Our employees also give lectures at several Latvian universities, as well as conduct seminars and trainings for business organizators.
KPMG Global is committed to becoming a Net Zero business by 2030. We work with our clients, suppliers and colleagues to drive real and sustainable environmental change. For example, we significantly reduced the carbon footprint of our supply chain, and have abandoned single-use plastics.
