Supporting lifelong learning

Lifelong learning is a central tenet of our citizenship strategy.

Across the KPMG network, we understand and value the benefits of a foundation of education and lifelong learning. It can be the key to unlocking potential and to help people out of alife in poverty. That is why lifelong learning and opportunity is a central tenet of our citizenship strategy. Through our ongoing collaborations, we have developed a learning continuum which starts with KPMG Family for Literacy, moving on to Junior Achievement, Enactus and One Young World, which helps us to develop the leaders we need for the future.

KPMG in Sri Lanka's Library Project

The libraries opened in Killinochchi and Mullaitivu, which were constructed in collaboration with the non-profit organisation ‘The foundation of Goodness’, are aimed at providing greater access to education to students in need of extended learning opportunities. The projects were funded by the KPMG foundation and the KPMG Alumni Association.

Commenting on the projects, the Firm’s Head of Audit and Partner for Alumni and Sustainability, Suren Rajakarier stated, “Corporate Social Responsibility is part of the culture of KPMG and is part of our values and our business strategy. I thank KPMG in Sri Lanka’s alumni and theFoundation of Goodness for their continued support towards our initiatives. We intend to expand the KPMG Library Project program by extending further support to other schools in the coming year.”
