The Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development approved1 a list of household electronic devices and their components the sale of which is exempt from VAT.
According to the tax amendments adopted last December, realization of household appliances and/or consumer electronics or their components is exempt from VAT for five years (from 1 January 2023 to 1 January 2028), subject to the following conditions:
- The sold product includes raw materials exempt from VAT upon importation by legal entities that have entered into a special investment contract with the authorized state agency.
- Household appliances and/or consumer electronics or their components are on the list approved by the Ministry of Industry and Infrastructure Development.
The approved list consists of 37 types of household appliances, including refrigerators, washing machines, dishwashers, vacuum cleaners, and other equipment.
The order came into effect on 4 June 2023.
