Ashley started his auditor career in the United Kingdom in 1995, became a partner in 2004, and joined KPMG in Russia and the CIS as a Financial Services audit partner in March 2008. In October 2012 Ashley has been appointed Head of Audit of KPMG in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. In addition to his own client responsibilities, Ashley is responsible for audit engagement quality reviews in KPMG in Russia and the CIS. In 2015 he led country quality reviews for KPMG audit practices in India and Ukraine, and participates annually in financial services reviews for KPMG London. He is a member of the Audit Risk and Quality committee for KPMG in Russian and the CIS, and in 2016 was appointed Audit Quality Performance Lead Partner.
Ashley is a member of the Board of Directors of the American Chamber of Commerce in Kazakhstan and is the Kazakhstan country representative for the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
