How far along is Canada’s construction innovation?

New digital technologies, innovations and disruptive business models mean many construction organizations need to keep pace with transformative changes. Beyond keeping pace, lies a far more lucrative state of being a digitally mature organization – One that uses technology as a means to truly take advantage of the digital age:

  • Driving growth and building resilience
  • Meeting new customer demands and enhancing competitiveness
  • Increasing productivity and attracting the right digital talent
  • Informing strategic decision-making
  • Protecting asset value amid disruption and uncertainty

Increased connectivity is coming into ubiquity. With the advanced use of drones, automated vehicles, Virtual and Augmented Reality (VR / AR) and other next gen tools on the horizon, the time is now for Canadian construction organizations to reflect on their digital maturity and align transformations to their business strategies.

Joining forces to drive transformation

Through this exciting new initiative KPMG in Canada is joining forces with the Canadian Construction Association (CCA) to present the Digital maturity assessment tool for the construction industry. Working together, we aim to help advance the industry’s digital transformation agenda.

The findings collected from this tool inform the first of its kind Canadian construction innovation benchmarking report. This publication sets the bar for what innovation in the sector looks like, what the landscape is like today and what players can do to bolster their maturity in this new reality.
