In December 2014, Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited published its new corporate governance requirements, the Consultation Conclusions on Risk Management and Internal Control: Review of the Corporate Governance Code and Corporate Governance Report.

KPMG China surveyed a number of executives of Hong Kong listed companies to see how they are responding to the new requirements. The report also outlines a number of steps companies need to take in order to adequately mitigate against certain risks in light of the new requirements that came into force in January this year.
