Sunil is the Associate Director with KPMG based in Ethiopia. He is currently responsible for managing the business development and project operations including managing partnerships in Ethiopia. Previously, he was the Country Director, IPE Global Limited, a Management Consultancy Multinational based in Ethiopia for five years when he was responsible for the operations in the field of Health, Nutrition, Education and WASH in entire Africa. Professional and Industry Experience
Sunil has over 29 years of work experience in India, Tajikistan, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Kenya, Malawi, Uganda, Zambia, Egypt and UAE in streams of Program/Project Management, Communication for social change and developing and managing increasingly complex social development and humanitarian efforts.
In Ethiopia, he led the team for detailed design and thereafter contract management and construction supervision of the Bole Lemi Phase II and Kilinto Industrial Parks for IPE. He has undertaken productivity enhancement study on Kaizen, Twinning and Benchmarking in Ethiopia for the Ministry of Industry.
He is an Expert in the field of social sector development issues focusing on children, women, adolescents, youth with a focus on gender and equity. Before joining KPMG, he was with FHI 360 as the Deputy Chief of Party, leading a Social & Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) programme in India with Government at Central and state levels. He has previously worked with UNICEF in India, South Sudan, and Tajikistan for over 12 years, where he was spearheading a multi-level programme-wide approach - providing technical leadership, oversight and building capacity of government and non-government partners in designing and execution of effective strategies. He was previously the Director of a leading NGO in India Delhi for seven years and has also worked with the Government of India for five years.
