Erastus is an Associate Director with the KPMG East Africa International Development Advisory Services (IDAS) practice, and the lead for the health pillar. He has over 15 years’ experience working with 3 professional services firms across 6 countries. He has a rich skill set and experience in programme and portfolio management, grant/fund financial management, monitoring and evaluation, financial and programme reporting, institutional strengthening and capacity building, among others.
Currently, Erastus is the Local Fund Agent (LFA) Team Leader for the Global Fund South Sudan grants. He previously served for over five years with the LFA team for Sudan while with KPMG, between 2009 and 2013.
Erastus has previously served as the Project Manager for a global surgery program, Safe Surgery 2020, which was implemented in Tanzania and Ethiopia while working with Dalberg. He was also the project manager – Voucher Management Agency (VMA) with PricewaterhouseCoopers, for the Reproductive Health – Output Based Approach (RH-OBA) project in Kenya, which was co-funded by the Kenyan Ministry of Health and the German government through KfW.
Erastus holds a Master of Science in Public Health degree from the University of London, and Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Nairobi. He also attained his Bachelor of Arts – Economics Major from University of Nairobi, and is a Certified Public Accountant – CPA-K
