Osamu joined EIWA Audit Corporation (former Arthur Andersen audit division, current KPMG AZSA LLC) in 1986. After working at Arthur Andersen Sydney office, he returned to Tokyo and engaged in auditing services. He then specialized in advisory services for M&A transactions from 1995. Since then, over the past 25 years, he has been involved in numerous cross-border M&A and domestic transactions in a wide range of sectors, mainly in the trading houses ("shosha"), manufacturing, retail, logistics, and information industries. He has also been involved in advising a number of foreign and domestic PE funds since the rise of private equity (PE) in Japan in the late 90's. He is a Certified Public Accountant in Japan.
