Conference Overview

Partners from KPMG member firms across 16 countries in the Middle East & South Asia region and members of KPMG’s Global and EMA leadership teams attended the 14th KPMG MESA Partners’  Conference which took place on the 23rd and 24th of November 2015 at the Kempinski Ishtar Resort in the Dead Sea district in the Kingdom of Jordan, a world famous location known to be the lowest point on earth, located 429m below sea level.

The Chief Guest at the Conference, His Excellency Bassem Khalil Al-Salem, Former Minister of Finance and Labor of the Kingdom of Jordan, the current Chairman of Capital Bank Jordan inaugurated the Conference highlighting how the Kingdom of Jordan has tackled impacts of geopolitical changes for decades and kept the Kingdom strong amidst a backdrop of challenges.

KPMG International reaffirms commitment to the Middle East and South
Asia region

Alongside the Conference, KPMG Global Chairman John Veihmeyer and a delegation from KPMG met with Fayez Tarawneh, Chief of the Royal Court who represented His Majesty King Abdullah II of the Kingdom of Jordan at the meeting. Fayez Tarawneh who was also formerly the Prime Minister of Jordan discussed opportunities for international investments and trade with Jordan as well as KPMG's focus in the Middle East and South Asia region.
