Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

Q1: Which edition of PMBOK® is PMP® certification training aligned to?

A: PMP® examination is based on PMP® exam content outline (ECO) and not PMBOK®. Our training is aligned to the latest ECO which came into effect in Jan 2021. PMBOK® is one of the many references for PMP® exam. With extensive analysis we put together our course material to align with the ECO. Both PMBOK® 6th and 7th editions were referenced in the development of course material.

Q2: What is the duration of the certification training?

A: It is a four-day PMP® classroom/live virtual preparation programme or 36 hours during live virtual sessions.

Q3: Will KPMG in India provide PMP® certification?

A: No, but KPMG in India will award 35 contact hours certificate to the participants upon completion of training requirements which is a pre-requisite to apply for PMP® certification.

PMP® certification is offered by Project Management Institute, Inc. (PMI), the accrediting body for PMP® certification.

Q4: What are the prerequisites for the PMP® exam preparation training?

A: There are no prerequisites for this training. Anyone planning to take up the PMP® certification would immensely benefit from it or even someone looking to build up knowledge in project management may enrol for this programme.

Q5: Where can learn more about PMP® certification?

A: PMP® handbook, downloadable from PMI’s website. The handbook provides information on all testing modalities, fees, policies, and procedures for obtaining and maintaining the PMP® certification.
