Overview
The role of a Learning and Development (L&D) professional is increasingly becoming more demanding given the pace at which business environments are changing. Given these business and technological realities, businesses are taking stock of the importance of constantly upskilling and reskilling the workforce to survive this onslaught of change and stay relevant. To achieve their objectives, businesses are looking at the L&D professional to design and deliver effective learning solutions to the workforce. To succeed, the L&D professional of today needs to have deep understanding of business, strategy, culture, experience, design and technology among other key business functions.
The fundamental question for L&D professionals of today is: As a function that is naturally tasked with leading change, are learning professionals spending enough time on holistically upskilling and reskilling themselves?
