  September 29, 2021 Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) Mumbai Days after the Maharashtra government stated that the schools across the state will reopen from October 4, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Wednesday said the schools for classes 8-12 to reopen from October 4. Issuing a fresh notification, BMC Commissioner said that for the rest of the classes, the civic body will make a decision in November. Read here
  September 29, 2021 Punjab government Punjab The Punjab government on Wednesday decided to ease restrictions on public gatherings in the wake of improvement in the COVID-19 situation in the state.
According to the decision, the government has allowed an indoor gathering of 300 people and outdoor gathering of 500 people.

  September 28, 2021 Tamil Nadu Government Tamil Nadu The Tamil Nadu government on Tuesday extended the Covid-related restrictions in the state till 31 October. Government has directed religious places to remain shut on all Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays.
Meanwhile, the state government has also said that physical classes for the students of classes 1 to 8 will resume from 1 November.

Uttar Pradesh Uttar Pradesh government has revised the covid guidelines in the state. The government has now allowed 100 persons (at a time) to attend weddings and other functions. Guidelines have also been issued for strict compliance with covid restrictions in view of Shardiya Navratri, Vijayadashami, Dussehra, and Chehallum.

  September 15, 2021 Delhi Disaster Management Authority Delhi Delhi Disaster Management Authority( DDMA) has released fresh guidelines and protocols for COVID 19.  Exhibitions such as trade fairs will be allowed in the city from Thursday onward, with DDMA further scaling down Covid-19 restrictions. Only social, religious, political and cultural gatherings remain completely banned in the city now, with schools having been allowed to reopen in a limited manner earlier this month

Passengers from India to UK From October 1, people travelling to the United Kingdom from India might not need to undergo expensive PCR tests as the UK is contemplating an overhaul of its current system. Under the new rules, the UK might do away with the amber category and keep quarantine restrictions confined to others. With India being part of the amber list, it is likely that PCR tests could be dropped along with relaxations in quarantine rules. Read here

West Bengal  West Bengal government extended all the existing coronavirus disease (Covid-19)-related restrictions and relaxations till September 30. As the government protocols dictate, all outdoor activities -- including the movement of people and vehicles -- shall remain strictly prohibited in the state between 11pm and 5am. However, essential and emergency services will be allowed to continue unhindered during this period and beyond.   Read here
  September 14, 2021 Government of  Uttarakhand Uttarakhand The Uttarakhand government has extended the COVID-19 restrictions in the state from 6 am on September 14 to September 21.  The Dehradun DM has said that tourists will only be allowed to visit Mussoorie on weekends and must furnish a negative Covid test report dated 72 hours prior to arrival.
