The objective of the Competency Thought Leadership is to study the competency practices in organisations based on the People Capability Maturity Model (PCMM). A survey was conducted to study these practices in which several organisations across various locations in India responded and provided inputs. The primary data collected from this survey was analysed quantitatively based on demographics.
This report is organised into various sections such as competency dictionary, competency assessment, competency usage and competency development, of which the existing good practices and areas of improvement are consolidated and highlighted. Inferences and interpretations are derived based on the survey results. The study also provides key-take aways and KPMG recommendations in the area of competency, which could be useful for organisations to refine and improve their competency practices.
