Management Capability of an organization is an aggregate of the collective potential, exhibited or latent, of talent in the organization. The Management Capability Index (MCI) is a nationwide study, which attempts to understand and benchmark skills and competencies of leadership across all industries.
It is our constant endeavor at KPMG to contribute to the growth of our nation and we take this continuum a step further by partnering with AIMA for the third edition of the Management Capability Index (India). This is the first time that KPMG is collaborating with AIMA to bring forth this cutting edge research and this is in line with our commitment to the CXO Agenda.
MCI over the years has evolved to become a yardstick for measuring and comparing the management capability across sectors, geographies and industries worldwide. The AIMA – KPMG Management Capability Index (India) report aims to augment the management team with a bird’s eye view to address the management dilemmas and the industry benchmarks to enable them to create breakout initiatives while continuing to manage daily
The prestigious MCI survey invited leadership teams and CXO’s from organizations across India to participate and provide their self assessment of management capability in the context of their own organization. The survey has 50 statements across the 10 dimensions of management capability which the industry leaders rated on a scale of 0 to 5.
We received more than 500 responses to the survey out of which 300+ responses from the Chairman, CXOs, MD and senior leadership band were considered for the MCI India 2014 analysis.
