Labour Codes - Decoding the challenges for a smooth implementation

01 December 2021 | 3.30 p.m. to 5.00 p.m. IST

The industry has been awaiting the implementation of Labour Codes.

The Government of India is keen to roll out the four Labour Codes regulating
(i) Wages
(ii) Social Security
(iii) Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions
(iv) Industrial Relations.
The supporting Central and State rules meant to operationalise the Labour Codes are also in process.

The prime focus of Government of India on ‘ease of doing business’ and to reduce the complexity and multiplicity of employment legislations in India, could benefit both employers and employees across industries. The labour reforms are expected to contribute to a better working environment for workers. This will facilitate job creation while also protecting workers and easing labour administration, ultimately contributing to the overall economic growth of the country.

We attempted to decode the challenges that organisations might face, so that the implementation can be smooth.

In the webinar, we discussed, analysed and shared views on the way forward with subject matter experts.
