Amitava Mukherjee

Amitava has extensive experience of implementing ERM, Basel III and IFRS 9 regulations for several large financial institutions in Indian, European, African and Asia Pacific regions. At KPMG in India, he has led various large multi-year projects with major Indian private, government owned and foreign banks, assisting them in implementing integrated risk management frameworks / ERM including credit, market and operational risk frameworks and modeling as per advanced approaches of Basel II. He has worked on various modeling aspects related to climate risk and ESG.

He has been previously associated with ICICI Bank, the largest private sector bank in India in credit underwriting, risk management and mitigation, ICAAP and regulatory capital estimation.

At J P Morgan & Chase, Amitava had led a team of 12 members for providing mid-office support to various forex and derivative deals booked in EMEA and US locations, which included submission of analytical research reports to credit officers and resolving their queries, exposure monitoring using advanced models and liaising with traders for deal confirmation.
