Devang has over 20 years of experience — with 11 years in the Advisory practice — providing transaction and restructuring services. He has worked on several UK, European and Middle East restructuring and performance-improvement projects, at firms such as Alvarez & Marsal, EY and KPMG LLP (US). In addition, he has served as Interim Manager, leading a number of turnaround initiatives at the stressed portfolio companies of various private equity clients. At these companies, Devang spearheaded several key projects, including driving turnaround initiatives for specific business units of one of the world’s leading helicopter companies, with significant presence across the UK, Denmark, Canada and Australia. Moreover, he was involved in successfully bidding for a UK government contract covering a period of over 30 years and worth more than GBP 6 billion. At the company, Devang also played a significant role in the valuation and selling of the training division to a strategic partner.
In addition, Devang led cash and working capital-improvement initiatives for a PE-owned multibillion-pound UK retailer as Interim Treasurer & Controller. He also assisted the PE client in successfully closing the transaction. Moreover, Devang chaired a financial and operational restructuring programme as the Interim CFO of an FMCG manufacturer with plants in Austria, Hungary and China. In addition, he implemented the 13-week cash flow process at the company. He also served as the Interim Operational Director for one of the largest private equity firms in the Middle East. Devang advised the firm on performance-improvement opportunities at its portfolio companies in the Middle East and India, ranging from shipping to retail.
Earlier in his career, Devang also led several financial and business due diligence projects for PE and corporate clients planning for acquisitions in the US. The PE clients included One Equity Partners, Madison Dearborn Partners, Oakhill Capital, Odyssey Investment Partners and First Reserve Corporation.
Devang is based in India out of Gurgaon.
