Amit has a diverse set of experience across asset intensive industries, including metals, chemicals, petrochemicals, upstream oil and gas, and pharmaceuticals.
Most recently, Amit is working with a large conglomerate in driving growth and diversification while leveraging the business and policy environment resulting from the government’s strategic focus around ‘Make in India’. He has also recently worked in partnering the promoter of a large conglomerate in business and geographic expansion apart from a large domestic major in optimising their sourcing cost.
Before his tenure with KPMG, Amit has been a partner with another leading consulting firm, where he helped grow their Indian presence and spearheaded strategic mandates with one of their largest clients in the country. He has also been the head of strategy for a large domestic pharmaceutical major. Amit started his career with a leading petrochemical major and was responsible for managing operations of select plants.
Amit received his Post Graduate Degree in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore and holds a BTech degree in Chemical Engineering from Harcourt Butler Technological Institute, Kanpur. He started his career in India as a member of TAS, the central management cadre of the Tata Group.
