Kapil is a seasoned professional with over 25 years of experience spanning a range of industries. He is adept in multiple aspects of consulting, including Risk Advisory, Process Improvement, Business Transformation, and Forensic and Transaction Due Diligence engagements. Kapil has worked with prominent global organisations, interacting closely with C-Suite, Board and Audit Committee members, sharing perspectives on emerging trends and leading business practices and improvement opportunities.
He is currently the Risk Consulting Leader at KGS, leading a team of over 600 multi-disciplinary professionals in engaging with KPMG member firms globally and delivering cost-effective, innovative and value-added solutions to clients. In this role, he is responsible for developing and sustaining relationships with KPMG member firm service lines/network leaders and providing active oversight to the team in delivering risk consulting solutions, including IT Advisory, Forensic, Internal Audit and Regulatory Compliance and Financial Risk Management.
Prior to joining KPMG, Kapil worked as a Partner at EY’s Risk Advisory practice for over six years. At EY, he also served as a Lead Engagement Partner for several Global 1000 companies across a range of sectors. In addition, he worked as EY’s Contract Risk Services Leader, Advisory Leader for the Automotive and Aviation sectors and anchored the firm’s Advisory cross-border collaboration initiative in the Middle East.
Before EY, Kapil served as a Managing Principal at the risk advisory business of Exl Service Inc., New York, where he built the organisation’s Global Offshore service delivery models and led a cross-border team in providing risk and IT advisory services. Kapil’s prior experience also includes over nine years at Arthur Andersen.
He is actively involved with professional and industry associations. He has served as faculty, delivered presentations, presented papers and participated in panel discussions at various conferences organized by the IIA, ACFE, CII and local trade bodies. Kapil has also led the development of thought leadership materials and conducted several client workshops on governance, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, data analytics and controls transformation.
Kapil is based in India out of Gurgaon.
