For a mother, the journey is rarely guiltfree. It was a tough call for me to get back to work post maternity, specially, with the worry of leaving a newborn with a caretaker , switching between my personal and professional priorities, having doubts about the project allocation, and the list was never ending.
This transition was much harder than we anticipate. Thanks to KPMG in India and the leadership, all my apprehensions were addressed real time. I was supported by both senior leadership and the HR team to understand my readiness and was offered flexible work options to help me transition back to work smoothly.
I am grateful to be part of this wonderful organization, where each one of us is truly valued, thereby ensuring it isn’t challenging for returning mothers like me, to begin their second innings!
