The Summit took place at COMIS Mount Murray on 3 October 2019 and once again offered a lively and thought-leading programme.
The Summit took place at COMIS Mount Murray on 3 October 2019.
Our 2019 summit saw us celebrate the 10th birthday of the series that started in the Isle of Man on 23 November 2010 – you can take a look back at the report from that summit here. We started out with the aim of working with the industry to air and address challenges, celebrate successes and encourage collaboration. With regulators and industry leaders clear on the need for better collaboration and communication in order to improve consumer experience and perception of the sector, our theme of ‘Raising Standards Together’ continues to be central as we finalise our programme below for 3 October.
With the UKGC’s publication in April of their National Strategy to Reduce Gambling Harms, and increased engagement from the US and other rapidly evolving markets - with governments, regulators and operators looking at both the potential benefits and harms of their emerging sectors - then the need to put the consumer enjoyment and safety at the heart of the industry is clearer than ever. We are bringing together a distinguished and diverse mix of speakers and panellists to explore how best to address that need.
We also looked back to our first summit, and bringing together some of the key figures in Isle of Man Gaming to tell the story of the last 10 years, as well as asking all of those in attendance to look ahead to the next 10 and predict what they might bring.
